Within the Maternal Health tier, research focuses on cardiometabolic health, including cardiovascular health and body composition, as well as placental function. A current focus of research is gestational weight gain.
Nutritional factors include dietary patterns, specific foods, macro- and micronutrients. Lifestyle factors include sun exposure, smoking and physical activity.
